Police arrested a 19-year-old man on drug and evasion charges Saturday night after he allegedly crashed his moped in an attempt to flee from an officer.

Jimmy Richardson was arrested near Benicia Road and Ninth Street after his red Honda Elite 150 moped hit a curb and crashed during the one-block chase, Officer Jeff Coburn said in an arrest report. Coburn reported finding powder cocaine and marijuana in Richardson's possession.

Coburn said he tried to stop the moped after seeing Richardson riding without lights and in excess of

15 mph, the speed limit for mopeds. Richardson was also unlicensed, Coburn said.

Richardson was booked into Solano County Jail.
