Moped safety course offered at SCC

WEST BURLINGTON — Southeastern Community College will offer a moped safety course from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the college's West Burlington campus.

Riders age 14 to 15 must attend this course before receiving a valid moped operator's license.

With the weather turning warmer, this is time when young people start thinking about riding mopeds, but it's important to remember that a moped license is required to ride legally in Iowa. A certified moped course must be completed by anyone 14 or 15 years of age wishing to obtain a moped license in Iowa. Those who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate they can take to the DOT to obtain their license.

For more information or to register, contact Barb Blow, or call (319) 752–2731 ext. 8221.
