Honda Ruckus

Postby zbmwr » Wed Feb 04, 2009 5:53 pm

I am a two stoke moped guy but something about the ruckus has caught my attention and I would like a little more info on them..

For example,

What is the top speed of a stock ruckus?

What is the main thing to do to a 4 stroke to improve its performance?

Any other info would be great!

Ever hear of this internet thing called Google?

Since you are already asking about enhanced performance, a 50cc 4-stroke may not be suitable for your criteria (whatever that is).

Google? Whats that?

I appriciate the link to the ruckus like scooter with the 125cc engine. Pretty neat!

I am not into Yamahas. Honda scooters only.

P.S. This forum is to get help and have people answer my questions, right.... not to get smart ass comments. :)

The 50CC Rukus does 40mph. It is watercooled and can take alot punishment. Decent size tires too.

I usually don't like scooters but I think the rukus is cool.. If I was going to buy a snail it would be on top of my list.

I've never been much of a fan of the looks of the Ruckus, nor its lack of storage space, which normally is one of the advantages of a scooter over a moped. Is it possible to stick a trunk on that thing? It also doesn't have a fairing. In Michigan, we can ride our scooters in temperatures that are too cold for our mopeds because of the protection.

On the other hand, it certainly would be A LOT easier to work on the Ruckus than the TGBs. The Ruckus really seems more like a noped with the engine pushed back to form a scooter profile. Neither beast nor fowl.
