I was given a new Nitro 150 for my video work with Tomos. I haven't really ridden it yet...need to tag it. I've started it an ran it around the block a few times. It seems solid and smooth. It has more legroom than the Keeway that I have, but the lights aren't as good. I would recommend it.

I've started to notice that there is less and less difference between most of the scooters available. Once you get past Honda, Yamaha, Piaggio, TGB and Kymco, the actual bikes are all about the same now. If you like dealing with Tomos, stick with them

Who makes the Nitro 150 for them?

It appears that Tomos insisted on unique styling for its models from Sym since they don't resemble any of the models that Sym is selling under its own name in the U.S.

As far as I knew, Sym was Taiwanese. Are you saying they've got a division in mainland China that's making these bikes for Tomos?

Yes, they are Sym China. Since Tomos wants to retain a large parts inventory, they are probably 2 year old designs that Tomos has specially made. The Chinese change designs every year..since they aren't much on parts, it doesn't matter to them. Can you imagine how bad that would be for Tomos if the bike was different every year? For that, I am glad...
