derestricting my scooter

Postby dklein90 » Fri Nov 13, 2009 8:32 pm

Does anyone have any idea as to where a SYM dd50 has been restricted?

Im looking for a little better aceleration and higher top speed if its avaliable for very inexpensive. Ive seen the video on you tube and another link to a web site, both have great info.

Im looking for somethng more directly related to my bike if anyone knows anything about it.

What derestrictions are cheap and easy for me to do at home with basic hand tools?

Thanks

How about posting links . . for those lacking telepathic abilities.

For those of you without telepathic capabilities I will do a search on this forum and repost the links to the video and web site.

Both of these site have good info and I assume that they are straight forward.

Im asking if anyone has done this on their SYM, how it worked out and what I would need to do it to mine.

2 basic things you can do is take off the front pulley, behind it there is a ring thats restricts the belt, remove it-3 small nuts, replace the clutch springs with the next stronger size, any further mods need a welder for the exhaust and a gear press to change the gears.
Some people dream about speed! blink and im gone!
