yamaha qt50

just got it running rode for an hour then it died i lost its spark i checked the plug wire and all the wires . cleaned and adjusted the points got it to fire two licks then nothing i had no battery and apparently had the headlight switch on who knows how long did i drain the coil or mess something up?

The condenser could be bad. You haven't hurt anything--kill switch could be bad or you could have a bad ground. Get Hagan to help you trouble-shoot the electrical system.

If i unhook the ground from the kill switch wouldn't that disable it and help me rule that out as a probable cause

Could be where coil assembly grounds to frame or another ground doesn't make contact due to rust.

im getting some voltage into the cdi from the condenser but none out of the pigtail to my coil could the cdi be bad
