Front Break issue

Postby ReneMey » Tue Aug 02, 2011 7:39 pm

My son's 2001 Motomotors Avanti Supersport moped is having an issue with the front break, it's not working. It was working fine and then when he went out to ride it it wasn't working at all. He can't find any help online to find out what might be the cause or where to look on the cycle to fix anything. Is there anyone who might be able to address this issue for us? Thank you
Rene

Not sure, but after I submitted this question my son went out and took the front wheel off and in the process of looking things over he found what he thought was the problem and solved it. I'm proud that he learned something and didn't give up. Thank you for the reply though, it is nice to know that we can ask questions here and get help. My son's father doesn't live with us and has never been of help to his kids so my son has never learned how to do anything mechanical but is trying to learn.
Thank you

Maintaining and repairing a moped is a great way to learn mechanical skills. I recommend that your son take a look at the following documents on this website:

the"big brother" org can help you with your son and the missing
male input he may need.
and we here are happy to help you with his moped.

that being said ;not having a easy answer or someone to do it for you
is good ,it can be a problem solving task and helps create self
reliance and goal achievement.
