Larry, is that a decent place to ride? We've taken the scooters to Florida before and never found a ride we liked. We don't take them with us anymore when we head down there. It would be nice to find a reason to do so.

JD, I just got back from a ride on Rt. 19. I quickly found out that it's not the best place to ride a moped. Four lanes of heavy traffic on each side. Now I know where NOT to ride while I'm down here.

Kim and I found a nice moped/scooter friendly route from Spring Hill to Pine Island. Other than that, there's not a whole lot of places to safely ride mopeds around here. If we had our scooters, we would have a lot more places to ride.

Enjoy your rides everyone, just had 12+ hours of blizzard. Now need to dig out all over again. Was in shorts coming out of the gym on Tuesday and now back into full snow suit mode and blowing this white stuff again after seeing my lawn for the first time since early December.

I'm dreading going back to NJ on Saturday. Temps are supposed to be in the 30's there next week. Probably won't be able to ride again until April the way things are going there.

Well, we're back from our Florida vacation. The weather here in NJ still sucks. I got too used to mid to upper 70's temps in Fl.

Kim dumped her Puch Maxi while in Florida. She didn't see my turn signal and came straight at me while I was turning left. In order to avoid a collision with me, she jerked the handlebars to the right and she went down pretty hard. Luckily, she had her padded gel gloves on, long pants and her helmet. She has a lot of pain in her right arm, but she'll live. Thank God there was no damage to either of the peds....lol.

Here's a pic of me at Pine Island, Fl with my Tomos and Kim's Puch.

OUCH! Sorry to hear about Kim. I'm glad she was wearing her gear.

Send her our best and tell her to heal up quick! We've got some riding to do!

JD, thanks! I'll pass the message on to her.

On a sad note, on the day of the crash, she had borrowed the new yellow jacket you sent me. It now has a small scrape on it. I knew I shouldn't have lent it to her, but it was kinda cold in the '60's and windy that day. Oh well...it was bound to happen eventually.

Your sympathy for Kim is touching, Larry! LOL!

Here's how you get another jacket real quick-like:

Sorry to hear of Kim's mishap Lar. She was most likely "blinded" by those snow white LEGS of yours!!!

Heal up soon Kim.

Love you guys,

Good news......Kim went to the orthopedic doctor yesterday and was told she has a sprained ligament in her arm. No broken bones or torn ligaments. She is very relieved it's nothing more serious. She can't ride for 6 weeks, but with the crappy, cold weather here, that shouldn't be a problem. Thanks for everyone's concern!
