I never recommend running an engine without an airfilter for any length of time.
I also don't like using fuel additives in 2-strokes. The additives could wash the oil off of the internal moving parts. I've ran 111 octane aviation fuel, 104 cam2, 93 premium, and cheap nasty 87 octane fuel. For the performance, 111 with full synthetic RdeLine 2-stroke Racing oil was the best! Mopeds that run 87 octane gas, and chainsaw oil, typically, from what I've experienced, tend to foul plugs faster, gum carbs quicker, and clog up heavier and faster, than those running premium gasoline.
