I want to sell it local how much should i start asking for it? It has 12 miles on the odo, one mirror is cracked and there is a small crack in the plastic facing above the speedo..

Bike has hardly been ridden, never layed down paint is flawless. Mirror crack is from bike falling down and it was on carpet.

Does 1400 sound steep...I want to move this quick.

Yep the carburator was very gummed up because the scooter sat in storage for a very long time.

It purrs like a kitten now runs great, It's fun I would keep it but I really have no use for it.

LOL!!!

The Scooter shop here sells them out of the rental fleet with anywhere from 500 - 3000 miles on them for as little as $250.

I've seen them sell bran-new, with 10 test-miles on them, that I just assembled for him, for $900. I've also seen them sell from other shops for as much as $1800, bran-new.

I've repaired several Hitongs, and they are far from my personal liking.

Thanks for the info smitty. It does seem like a very cheap scooter if I can't get more than a grand out of it i think im gonna keep it for playing on.

Seems real flimsy (body work, ect)

What have you had to fix on the ones you've repaired?

Back in the riding season I was assembling them (among other cheaper brands), replacing throttle cables, cleaning water from the entire fuel system, tune-ups, replacing brake levers, and pretty-much every aspect of rental fleet maintenance and repair. I've even rebuilt a couple of Hitong engines (2-strokes), and similar brands. A rental Scooter really gets abused. They didn't get neglected, because it was my daily routine to keep up the whole fleet (at one time as many as 84).
