It will be interesting to see how this evolves in the next few years . . to my knowledge there is not presently a "Geely Scooter Division" in the USA, just independent agents who order from China. Perhaps Geely car dealers will have the option to also sell Geely scooters.

Rember the Yugo automobile? Isn't the Tomos factory its neighbor? One never knows who is making what. IMO Jim.

I hate Geely! Every one that I've worked on or seen has been junk (no disrespect intended toward any Geely owners). I can't imagine what their cars would be like! Probably has a plastic differential...LOL!

Geely car reference links:
Geely 7151CK Concept
Geely makes history at Detroit Auto Show

“Geely” is derived from Chinese phrase that means “I am lucky”
. . maybe we'll see a Dirty Harry ad campaign.

I just found out that the kymco zx runs a Japan zx trans with a larger rear pulley and wider belt, same bore kits and pipes that elite-s runs, this would make a nice sleeper and they still sell it as a 2 stroke.
Some people dream about speed! blink and im gone!

Hey Vulcan, I think the Yugo was junk even though it was cheap. One man's junk is another nan's treasure. Motor Trend named the 1971 Vega "Car of the year".Junk, Junk, Junk. Jim

Chevrolet Vega - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaThe Vega 2300 was Motor Trend's Car of the Year for 1971.

Yeah... Yugos were absolute crap if you lived anywhere that had rain or humidity RUST). I also remember exhaust systems that fell off and no sound insulation...unless you count that 10mil carpet as a sound barrier.

This sounds like Bullshit to me:
"Geely-USA Vice President John Harmer says he's not very familiar with the scooter division, but says the company is making sure it sells superior cars in the U-S."
