1980 Peugeot 102 SP light problem

Postby Colton2822 » Wed Oct 07, 2009 9:41 am

I just got my 1980 Peugeot 102 SP running yesterday after hours of running beside it, cleaning the carb, cleaning the spark plug, and it would run perfect for a minute then quit. Well come to find out there were 2 brown wires coming out from the light that were touching metal. So after we grounded one brown wire to the engine it runs perfect now. My question is what are the two brown wires for, a horn maybe? Also, when I cut my lights on, it kills the engine power until I cut them off then it picks up again. I have to be going full throttle before I can cut on my lights other wise it will kill the engine. Whats the problem there?

Thanks and sorry for the long post
