1980 Honda Express II Repairing

Postby iamspugeddy » Tue Jun 21, 2011 11:27 am

I just bought a 1980 Honda Express II and now I'm trying to get it running and I'm on the brink of success. There's no air filter and the choke is pretty much useless so I'm using my hand to choke at the moment. The problem is that it'll crank and start momentarily but won't remain on. And for a little while, it would turn on but immediately rev pretty much full blast for about 5 seconds then die. I've cleaned the carb but nothing has really changed. I was hoping someone on these forums have had a similar experience and could help guide me in a direction to get things literally rolling. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
