Moped Rallys

Postby cfg500 » Fri Nov 09, 2012 10:20 am

After reading a forum topic on Moped Army called, "Let's Clean Up The Forum", I have decided to never attend a Moped Army Rally.

The topic was posted by a guy who was asking that cussing, bashing eachother, pornography, and the like, be diminished so that the site can be appropriate for all interested in mopeds and repair.
The topic now has 135 replies, most cursing and bashing the one who suggested it. A couple members give him support, but most mock him like immature, immorale punk kids posting more pics nudity and even nastier things. In doing so they are supplying pornography to a minor. Is that not a crime?

If these are the type of people who go to moped rallies, forget that.

I would, however love to ride with some decent folks who live in my area.

You are describing the precise reason why this forum was created.

This one doesn't have the traffic that MA has because most (but certainly not all) of the moped riders who spend a lot of time on the Internet are relatively young and immature. MA is a good place for them, but several former members needed someplace else.

I don't know who's in Jackson, but there are active riding groups in Ann Arbor and Downriver. We have ridden with both.

Although they are primarily scooterists, they're not snobs and would certainly welcome a mopedster. The Ann Arbor group, however, tends to ride FAST. A moped, even a kitted one, is going to have trouble keeping up with them, although they have a few rides geared toward 50cc bikes each year.

The Downriver group is more laid back, and doesn't ride as fast or as far.

You can find both of them on
