1978 Honda Hobbit carburator

Postby marvsstock » Mon Jul 08, 2013 9:18 pm

I have narrowed the problem down to a carb problem by replacing the carb from a Hobbit that is a good runner. Now opens another problem of how to find a leak in the carburator. Any one have an idea?

I don't have any experience with Hobbit carbs, but some with Bings, so I don't know if this would be helpful or not:

I would guess though, that a new gasket set would most likely fix any fuel leaks.
If its an air leak, a bit of carb cleaner spray around the carb and intake while the engine is running will cause a change in RPMs at the leaky spot.
