Suzuki FA50 Crankshaft Seals

If the crankshaft seals are bad, what would be the symptoms?

Trans oil will burn and foul plug and exhaust. Lean burn condition could also develop and seize or hole piston. Spray carb cleaner or WD40 around seal area and intake and any sealing surface and hear if the motor picks up and runs smoother or just runs!
