More progress.
The engine and carburetor are in place.

The ignition side of the electrical wiring is done.

I installed a CHT gauge and probe to monitor the engine temperature.

Made some custom stems for the front blinkers, and painted the old junction box.

I also got the first two of the four circuits wired in. Circuit 3 will be a bit of work as it powers the brake light and turn signals.

Hey John,

I used a 12x1 mm thread, OMG petcock.
Got it from https://www.treatland.tv/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=omg-12mm-01Z2101024

"On" and "Reserve" both work fine with the tank full. I haven't tried it to see what the reserve will actually be on my tank yet.
I like it for the built in lower strainer and transparent bowl.

Finished the blinkers.
I added ground wires, and gave the worn-out chrome a coating of Plasti-Dip.

I also got the junction box and a lot of the wiring installed.

Found a nice little 12v battery. This should even out the electrical system, and keep the lights from flickering at idle.

The new tailpipe didn't have a tapered edge. I fixed that.

Now the end cap fits nicely.
Image

Also, had to make a bracket for the new tailpipe. Sits slightly higher and farther away than the original.
