tfr proma circuit muffler

Postby karl » Tue Aug 13, 2013 7:53 pm

Hello all. I bought a proma circuit exhaust kit and larger carb. years ago and after about a week the silencer came flying off and I could not find it. So.... I rigged the stock muffler up to fit. It works but I would like to get a proma muffler or one that is the same and put it back on. The set up I got now is pretty loud, I just now tried to put that lawn mower muffler on and it worked good for around 20 mph after that no effect. This moped has been sitting for four years do to a health issue of mine. I cleaned it up and it fired right up, top speed is about 35mph!
Any feed back would be appreciated.
Thanks, Karl

Ever get your muffler fixed?
I'm not familiar with TFRs but 1977Mopeds, and Treatland.tv seem to have a lot of different kinds available.
I also keep a saved search on eBay. Every once in a while, someone will part out their moped, or a shop will put up some old stock for sale.
