IKE FIST, Rest in Peace

Postby John » Wed Aug 14, 2013 11:47 am

It is with regret I just heard that Ike Fist has passed away. Do not have any details but will post if I hear of anything.

To all the moped riders who have dealt with Ike for parts and enjoyed his "Ikes Rides" he will be sorely missed. This picture was from the last ride we had with Ike in Northern Michigan at the "Stem of the Cherry Ride".

Condolences to Maggie from Rena and John.

Without Ike's help, I would not have purchased my first new moped and I never would have met all the dear friends I made through him and his rides. He left a lasting presence on my life and the things I do for fun.

Rest in peace, Ike Fist. You were greatly admired and greatly loved by many. And we will not forget the impact you had on our lives.

For reasons I'll never understand, Ike didn't much care for me, but regardless, I always had the utmost respect and admiration for him. I went to Ike's Big Ride back in 2004 and had a blast. It was my first organized ride and gave me the inspiration to host my own ride.

I'm sure where Ike is, there are plenty of scooters, mopeds and windmills.

RIP Ike.

Very sad news. Ike and I went on many rides and trips together. He always had lots of great stories to tell. I don't know if they were all true. Anyway I talked to Ikes buddy just down the road and he said Ike died in his sleep at home from a heart attack. Ike was only 67 years old.
He will be dearly missed. Jeff

So sad to hear. Ike was one of the Best people you could ever meet.
He made everyone feel like they were part of his family. My wife and I drove to his house a few years back, arrived in the middle of the night
and he took us in and treated us like we were his famliy. This is such a great loss..Condolences to Maggie, Tab and Jeff as I know how close you guys were. They will never be another "IKE" R.I.P. My friend...

We will all miss Ike and the good times and fellowship that we enjoyed. Ike took good care of his fellow mopeders.

OMG!!! This is such sad news!...I only met Ike once in Tn, but he was an icon here in the moped riders. My deep condolences to Ike's family and his extended family here.

I went to Ikes funeral yesterday. It was a tear jerker to say the least. I also went back to Ikes/Maggies for a late lunch. It was almost 4pm.
Maggie is doing good and held it together most of the day. There were about 40 people at his funeral. Tab and I were the only ones from the moped group.

Ike was a genuine individual. As fine a person, that I had ever met. Maggie, as well. Still have the Tomos TT LX Classic (in the picture of the Ikes Bikes showroom, next to his prize restored whizzer) that I bought from him, several years ago. Was considering selling it, but I think I'll ride it a while longer.
May his soul rest with The Lord. God bless Maggie.
