How can you tell when the automatic oil and gas mixing pump is working?

Is there a bleed screw, run and see if you get a dribble with a premix in the tank to prevent getting the piston stuck. Shot in the dark! Never seen one.

Didn't quite understand what you meant. I downloaded a manual and found that if I pull the oil line going into the carb and run it in a container while cranking the bike over several times with the plug out I'll be able to see oil metering out if it's working. Thanks John

the simple truth is that you cannot be sure. even if you tested it 2 minutes ago it could have failed 1 minute ago.

go with premix.

I use premix just in case. 32:1 it smokes a bit but plugs are cheap and I keep a few.
