1978 Honda Hobbit carb Jet

Postby marvsstock » Mon Aug 19, 2013 7:37 pm

After cleaning my old carb about twenty times and it still didn't work I purchased a new carb. The new carb had a high speed jet installed with the number 60 stamped on it. They also had an extra high speed jet with the number 80 stamped on it. The old carb had a jet that was much smaller with no number on it. Which Jet should I be using.
The new carb works better but it is still not working right. I can only get about 10 mph out of it
Any help you can give me will be appreciated.

I have no experience with Hobbits but I did have a clogged fuel valve on my Puch once:

It was so bad the engine wouldn't run at all.
Maybe yours has a partial clog?

Jet size depends on if your bike is a PA50I or a PA50II

Go with the largest and downsize from there depending on how it is running.
