Tomos A55 Magnetic Trans Drain Plug

Postby RidingRick » Thu Jun 04, 2015 5:59 pm

Hello: At the first transmission fluid change I installed a Gold Plug brand magnetic drain plug (part number MP-11) with a Honda (automotive and motorcycle) aluminum crush seal (part number 90471-580-000). I'd had a slight fear that the magnet's field might influence the magneto or electrical system, but nothing seems to have been affected. I've had very good service with magnetic drain plugs in cars and it looks like this trick will be beneficial for mopeds as well.

I've got magnetic drain plugs on all my bikes. They work well, and don't interfere with any of the bikes' systems. :)
