Mobylette Clutch problem

Postby Scooter » Fri Aug 04, 2006 5:24 am

I have a '74 Mobylette that the starting clutch does not engage. I had it running (barely) about a 3 weeks ago, but did not have tiome to play with it as I was going on vacation. Tried to start it the other day, but the clutch would not engage the motor. Is there an external adjustment for this, or do I have to take the clutch off? Is there a trick to this - is the clutch pressed on the shaft and do I need special tools to remove? If so does anybody know where I could buy or borrow one? I live in Connecticut and any help would be appreciated. Thanks
