To match the handlebar straight with the front tire alignment - take off all the metal front fairings around the headlight and handlebar. And remove the front wheel fender.
Loosen all upper and lower pinch bolts securing the upper fork tubes to both upper and lower triple clamps - with the bike on the centerstand. But don't loosen to the point where the upper fork tubes will slide up the triple clamps. Then straddle the front wheel in front of the handlebars (facing toward the back of the bike) and hold the front wheel tight between your knees (no joke) - put force on the handle bars in the direction to make it straight in alignment with the front wheel. Gauge by eye and check in the riding position without putting weight on the bike.
If nothing seriously bent this should do the job. And using a helper to lock the front wheel straight can make it easier.
To check if a fork tube is slightly bent - loosen the pinch bolts to the point where the upper fork tubes can be turned (twisted) by hand (use a leather pad for grip). Check each tube one at a time. A bent tube is readily felt and can be seen to move the front wheel alignment as the tube is twisted. If a bend is very slight - turning it to get the best possible wheel alignment is the trick. If a tube is bent where it binds the fork action (too much stiction), then the tube needs to be straightened by a professional or replaced.
Good luck.
