Custom seats and seat pans

This is one of those very odd jobs that you may want to bookmark for later - if you do custom moped work. I followed this guide for making my own custom seat pan for my Revival, since nothing would even come close to working.

Here is the progress I made with my project bike. I have no prior experience with fiberglass, yet I was able to make it work.

Kool. I've played with glass many times. The tricky part now is sewing a fitted cover...lemme know if ya need help. Also, how does that pan attach?

Butnut, I will run a bolt down that front hole and epoxy it in. The back of the seat fit pretty tight and the luggage rack will have to be installed on top, so it can't go anywhere.

I remember you posted your custom seat. Did you do you own upholstery work do it? I will be looking for someone to make a cover for it.

Yes, Tab did a fantastic job on the seat pan. I watched him , he he!.

I am thinking about doing one for the Fat Boy . As you know, i never did care for the seat on it. But i will have to admit, that is the most comfortable moped i ever sat on !

By the way, i put a new bottom end on it a couple of days ago. It is quiet and shifts like brand new now.The old bottom end has over 10,000 hard miles on it. I am going to rebuild it when i get time, haaaa.

Ya, i miss that too ! But that could all change. I got a Super deal on a STREETMATE you could start with !

I have picked up so many bikes over the winter i don`t have room to work. I need to sell some bikes !

I did sell my 79 Garelli Grand Sport LTD "Dream Bike" ! Joey Buttawipo will roll over in his grave haaaaaa !!
