MADD, AAA Help Revelers Get Home Safe On New Year's Eve
AAA's Tipsy Tow Enters 19th Year Of Service

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Mothers Against Drunk Driving and the Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission want to make sure you get home safe this New Year's Eve.
The organizations are working with local law enforcement and other community agencies to curb public intoxication.
The TABC and other local law enforcement agencies promise strict policing of drivers over the holiday weekend.
"Being publicly intoxicated is not cute and it's not funny, but it is against the law and we will file charges against you," said Capt. David Alexander with the TABC.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said driving while intoxicated is the number one factor in traffic crashes and fatalities in Texas.
Aside from taxi's, several groups will be working this weekend helping those who have had too much to drink get home safely.
For the 19th year, AAA is once again offering its Tipsy Tow service. The auto service club will give you a ride and a free tow, up to 10 miles, for those who have had too much to drink. To use their service, call (800) AAA-Help.
Another organization, Wingman Chauffer Service, will arrive at your location on a collapsable moped to give you a ride home in your own car. The service stores the moped in your trunk and drives you home for a fee. For an additional charge, they will even stop for food along the way.
