Just a simply query, my freewheel bearing seem shot as the pedals are trying to turn when running.

i notice you can get a straight peg to fit thereby getting rid of pedals

does anyone know if its just a case of pulling the pedals off as im not quite sure if the bearings are seperate from the main drive

Puch, you can pull the shaft out and put pegs in its place. Push to start while using clutch. Some even just spin the wheel while on centre stand and do a clutch start.

It maybe cheaper and simpler to replace the drive on the rear wheel, keeping the pedals (as they're useful when going up steeper hills). They're available on YPVspares I think?
